Bürgermeisterin Mitzi Nothdurfters Geliebter, Mirlinger, ist spurlos verschwunden und mit ihm das gesamte Gemeindevermögen. Mitzi ist restlos verzweifelt und sieht nur im Selbstmord einen Ausweg. Dieses Vorhaben möchte sie aber dem Pfarrer Prinz beichten, dabei löst sich ein Schuss aus ihrem Revolver. Mindestens genauso gefährlich ist Julie unterwegs, die mit ihrem alten Wohnmobil beinahe die am Dorfplatz probenden Darsteller der Ilmer Passionsspiele niedermäht.
