Montrealista lähdön jälkeen Propair 420:n lentäjät kohtaavat kaksi hydraulista vikaa ja moottoripalon. Heillä on vaikeuksia lentää konetta, joten he kääntyvät ympäri ja ovat laskeutumassa, kun kone kääntyy ylösalaisin, putoaa ja kaikki kyydissä olleet kuolevat. Tutkijat pääsevät paikalle 6 tunnissa, ja heidän on pääteltävä, mikä aiheutti vain viidessä minuutissa kuolemaan johtaneen vikojen sarjan.
