E12 The invention of "waves" - as in radio waves or electro-magnetic fields - has led to many great inventions. Radio waves transmit music, conversations, pictures or data invisibly through the air, over thousands of miles - it happens every day in thousands of different ways. Even though radio waves are invisible and completely undetectable to humans, they have totally changed society. Whether we are talking about a cell phone, a microwave oven, our TV's, RADAR systems or any one of the thousands of other wireless technologies, all of them use radio waves to communicate. S05E08 In a shark-filled adventure, Jonathan travels to the Bahamas to meet Neal Harvey, a world-renown shark handler who will attempt to teach Jonathan how to put Caribbean Reef sharks into a relaxed state known as tonic immobility! Then, Jonathan heads to NASA's Neutral Buoyancy Lab in Houston, Texas (USA), where astronauts train for space walking underwater, in a giant pool about half the size of a soccer field. Jonathan gets a rare and fascinating look into this high-tech diving as he ventures underwater with the astronauts.
