Der Vater von Pierce ist verstorben und schickt seinen Vermögensverwalter, um Pierce sein Erbe auszuhändigen. Doch zuerst muss der sich samt seinen Freunden in ein Videospiel begeben und in einer Abenteuerwelt gegen Gilbert, den Vermögensverwalter, antreten. Abed wird von der Polizei erwischt, wie er auf dem Greendale-Campus herumschnüffelt. Er kann einem Aufenthalt im Gefängnis nur entgehen, wenn er sich stattdessen in psychiatrische Hilfe begibt. Abed ist der festen Meinung, dass es einen "falschen Studienleiter" gibt, einen Betrüger, den es zu enttarnen gilt. Die Freunde stehen Abed selbstverständlich bei und nehmen ebenfalls an den Therapiesitzungen teil. Und es gibt tatsächlich einige Ungereimtheiten auf dem Campus ...
