Europe is a continent of diversity, and its coasts are no exception. From the frozen Arctic Ocean, where polar bears and reindeer battle for survival, to the warm beaches of the Mediterranean, home to pink flamingos and killer corals, Europe's coastline attracts a staggering array of wildlife. It's also the setting for some of the world's most jaw-dropping natural spectacles, including orcas and humpback whales hunting side by side, and wild horses running free on the beaches of the Camargue.

Europe's mountains may offer incredible views, but they are rarely an easy place to live. Golden eagles must soar high over the Alps to find food, while stags in the Scottish Highlands battle it out for valuable grazing land. Kidnapping is rife among Gibraltar's Barbary macaques, and - in Norway's high plateaus - musk oxen can't escape the harsh merciless winter. Faced with rugged landscapes and extreme weather conditions, Europe's high-altitude animals must either adapt… or die trying.
