Caspar David Friedrich (1774-1840) est un peintre romantique allemand qui s'est surtout concentré sur l'art du paysage, qu'il traite avec une touche minutieuse. Il a été redécouvert à la fin du XIXe s. De caractère mélancolique, il a peuplé ses toiles de figures humaines de dos, contemplant l'immensité de la nature, comme son très célèbre Voyageur au-dessus de la mer de nuages de Hambourg ou ses Falaises de craie à Rügen. Observez ses superbes paysages aux tons crépusculaires. Bonne visite !
