Life After People

il-Ħadd, 22:45 EEST

This unique documentary series explores what the planet would look like if all human life diappeared. With comment and opinion coming from scientists, engineers and other experts, this show speculates on how a lack of human intervention would impact on the environment and the other animal species. The show does not provide any explanation as to why humans have vanished from the face of the Earth but does surmise that human infrastructure is still present along with pets and domesticated livestock. Each episode explores what would happen to specific structures such as skyscrapers, bridges and dams or details the impact on human remains, artefacts and other objects. Some real-life abandoned locations are discussed and the show also uses CGI dramatisations to depict how the situation would look after one day, one week, one year, 10 years, 15 years, 25 years, 50 years, 100 years, 200 years, etc.
