Based on the real life files of America's first ghost hunter, Dr. Hans Holzer (whose most famous case concerned the Lutz family of Amityville, NY), this show follows a team of paranormal investigators as they reexamine the terrifying tales that mystified the doctor. The team consists of paranormal investigator Dave Schrader, psychic medium Cindy Kaza and equipment technician Shane Pittman and they are aided by Holzer's daughter, Alexandra. They examine thousands of documents, letters, photographs, and audio and visual recordings, sometimes going as far back as the 50s. Following on from where Holzer left off, the team bring the investigations up to the present day and visit the locations of the supernatural events such as the Peck House, the Morris-Jumel Mansion, the Whaley House, and the USS Constellation.
