Modern Family

The focus is on three families who are related: Jay and his young wife Gloria, with their son Manny. Claire, the daughter of Jay from a previous marriage, and her family; husband, Phil, and children, Hayley, Alex, and Luke. Then the third family, which compromises of Mitchell, Jay's other son and Claire's brother, and his family; Cameron, his husband, and their adopted child, Lily. All members of this diverse family have their own character quirks, which combine to create hilarious scenarios around family life. The show first aired in 2009, and has watched the characters grow through the years, addressing all the dramas that come with this. It does so in a light-hearted humorous way, with some heart-touching moments along the way. The series has won multiple awards, including "Outstanding Comedy Series" in 2014.
