Jade Fever is a Canadian reality TV show, it revolves around life in Jade City, a remote highway stop in northern British Columbia with a community of 35 run by Claudia Bunce, the Boss, and her husband Robin, the Mine Manager. The price of jade is skyrocketing due to enormous demand in China. The Bunces possess lands in British Columbia where they find deposits of jade. They invite Alan Qiao, the first Chinese investor to join their team and together start jade mining business hoping to make a fortune. If they and their Chinese investors strike it rich, everyone hits the jackpot. It's a very demanding and challenging job, as all deposits are located in remote mountainous area, in order to get to the right spot, the team has to cut across fast-flowing rivers, climb the mountains and ride through dirt.
