America is in the grip of a crystal meth epidemic. There are more than 1.2 million meth users and every year Americans spend 5 billion dollars on the drug. 80% of the meth sold in the United States is now made by drug cartels in Mexico. Nicknamed 'Mexican Super Meth', it's nearly 95% pure, offering users a more intense and long lasting high. This film follows the crystal meth trafficking routes from Mexico and into the United States. The journey begins in the lawless mountains that surround Culiacan, where Mexican Super Meth is produced in superlabs on an industrial scale. The cartel then use American citizens to traffic crystal meth shipments hidden in vehicles from Mexico into California. Mexican drug cartels are flooding the U.S. with the cheap super strength meth and are getting more Americans hooked on one of the most addictive drugs known to man. With unprecedented access to hitmen, meth cooks, traffickers, dealers, users and law enforcement, this disturbing film shines a light on the murky and violent world of the Mexican drug cartels.
