Philosophy jazz pianist McCoy Tyner first came to the attention of saxophonist Benny Golson, in whose Jazztet he played. McCoy Tyner later became even more famous for his work in the John Coltrane Quartet and his long solo career. You could easily compare his piano style to Coltrane's saxophone style.
