Ed decides to leave his life in Barcelona to take a trip to the United States to follow his childhood dream of becoming a filmmaker there. Close to turning 40, and with his wedding just around the corner, he realizes that his life has not worked out as he had planned. An identity crisis begins which makes him leave everything and try to make his childhood dream —the American dream— come true. With the script of a film he wrote a few years ago under his arm, and the idea of trying to make the project a reality in the United States, Ed embarks on a road trip from New York to Hollywood, on which he meets diverse characters with whom he reflects upon the pros and cons of following our dreams, while at the same time he tries to achieve his and seeks a more precise definition of happiness.
