Construit entre 1953 et 1961 à Eveux, près de Lyon, le couvent de la Tourette est la dernière grande oeuvre de Le Corbusier en France. Le couvent, qui peut abriter quatre-vingts étudiants, est à la fois un lieu d'habitation, d'étude et de prière. Il a été commandé au grand architecte français par la communauté dominicaine de Lyon, soucieuse de faire face au fort regain des vocations religieuses après la fin de la Seconde Guerre mondiale.

Eugène Delacroix est considéré comme le leader du Romantisme Français, à la fois passionné, dramatique, et tourmenté, ce mouvement est né au début du 19ème siècle. Plus qu'un mouvement, c'est tout un développement artistique créatif et captivant qui compose le romantisme à travers l'étude de 10 oeuvres majeures de l'artiste.
